Music Performances
This celebrated the cultural diversity of our city by taking a fully-accessible, creative journey across the Commonwealth at the Windmill Community Centre, co-curated by children and young people with a range of special educational needs and disabilities from schools and colleges across Birmingham. Inspired by a year of creative workshops led by K’antu Ensemble, this showcase day celebrated Birmingham's diverse communities through the joy of art and music making, empowering those with quieter voices from the SEND community to have their place in the spotlight.
SAFS Family Fun Day
We worked with pupils from Mayfield SEND School and Lozells Junior & Infant School & Nursery to create a collaborative Showcase Concert for parents and friends. Pupils had the opportunity to share songs and dances from Africa and the Caribbean, samba drumming and a rap that they co-created with poet Kurly McGeachie.
